Relentless rain, deep slash, and brutal terrain slowed us to a crawl. By the time we reached the top of the first climb, we ...had a rider injured, a blown motor, and no working audio on our main camera.
Completely soaked and running out of daylight, we made the call to leave the bikes on the mountain… and come back the next day.
Day two brought a break in the weather—and one last shot at the summit.
With clearer skies, incredible views, and one final stretch of steep, technical terrain ahead, we pushed everything we had left to finish what we started.
This is what it really takes to reach the top.
